Shabby Chic Stamp DT Thursday

I am here again with a few cards that I have made using Shabby Chic Stamps.  All of the stamp sets are on sale this week for 50% off so stock up now my friends!!
The first card uses a sentiment from the Father's Day stamp set, however, it isn't a father's day card.   Always nice to see the versatility of stamp sets:-)  The guitar is cut from the cricut Smiley Cards cartridge and is on an action wobble.  I used some Sakura glaze pens to doodle on the guitar and the lavendar border.  The yellow polka dotted section was made using Washi type tape from Target.

wobble in action:-)
My next card is a sympathy card for my pastor's wife who recently lost her brother to a battle with cancer.  I used a sentiment from the Greetings set.  This is a great stamp set because it is very versatile with the array of sentiments it contains.  The card base is an svg from Birds Cards.  The stick pin and crinkle ribbon are hand made by moi!

Feel free to check out the Shabby Chic Stamp blog to see the projects from my DT sisters!

SVG Attic DT day

Happy Friday everybody:-)  I hope your week has been a good one.  I wanted to share with you a project I made for my youngest daughter's teacher for teacher appreciation week.   I am so proud of myself for working ahead and getting this done early cuz usually I am scrambling at the last minute, yikes!  I used the fall favor box set to make the apple basket and apples.  I filled the apples with dove dark chocolates (I made sure to taste test them first:-)  The card was made with the back to school set.  I created a shadow of the school house  using scal 3 and welded two of them together to create my card base.  I then cut another shadow out and glued it ontop of the card base.  The sentiment is from Shabby Chic Stamps.

I also found these cute post it notes in the shape of apples and will include them with the gift.
Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to check out this week's new SVG Attic set "down on the farm".  You can get it free with a purchase of $9.98 or more.

CardzTV DT challenge #8: Rainbow

Mary has challenged the design team with a rainbow theme using the colors pink, blue, green and yellow only with small bits of white and black.  I love these challenges because they get me to be more creative and I love how everybody on the design team interprets them differently.  I hope you will be inspired by the design team's creations and see how versatile the CardzTV stamp sets are!!  I just love these stamps because the sentiments are so cute and the stamps are so well made.  Anyway, here is my interpretation of the challenge -

The flower is cut from the "Sweet Treats" cartridge and the leaves are from "Walk in my garden".  I used the cuttlebug on the leaves to give them some texture.  The sentiment is from the "think spring" stamp set from CardzTV stamps.  I used some crinkle ribbon that I made with Hug Snug seam binding and smooch spritz to embellish my card.  I also made the stick pin and accented the card with stickles, liquid pearls and my gelly roll pen from Sakura.  Used some stampin up dimensionals to pop up the flower and the sentiment.  The cute designer paper was in a package I got from the Target $1 spot awhile ago:-)  Thanks for stopping by.  Make sure you head over to CardzTV to see how the rest of the design team interpreted this challenge.  Mary is going to be giving away a set of her stamps during this challenge too:-)

Shabby Chic Stamp DT Thursday

Hi guys!!  Thursday is my day for the Shabby Chic Stamp Co design team post.  I want to share with you a few cards I have made using the "Greetings" stamp set.
I made this card using an svg set from SVG Attic.  I will post more information about this tomorrow so make sure you stop back in!

I created these cards by tracing a yoga clipart I found online.  I used the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software to do this and my cameo to cut it out.  I needed a couple of cards to thank some of my coworkers at the gym where I teach.  Two of my coworkers stepped in and subbed my yoga classes while my daughter was sick but neither of them were yoga teachers - they just "faked" it:-)
This is the invitation I made for my youngest daughter's birthday party which is Saturday!!
Be sure to check out the rest of the design team's projects here.

Disney Week Post #2 and Shabby Chic DT day

I am doubling up on my post today guys!  I made a thank you card to go with the Disney banner I made for my friend.  I used Mickey font for the shape of the card.  My sentiment is from Shabby Chic Stamp Co's "Greetings" set.  This is a great all purpose stamp set and I really recommend it for those of you just getting started with stamping.  It stamps well and has an assortment of basic sentiments for just about any occasion. I welded two shadows together to create the base of my card.  I cut out another shadow to go over top    and then did the layers on top of that.

"Hoo's having a birthday?"

April is a busy month in our family. Two of my daughters were born in April, Easter is usually in April, my brother's birthday is in April and several of my daughters' friends have April birthday. We have 2 birthday parties to go to this weekend so here is one card ready to go:-) I used my Paisley cartridge from Cricut. I cut my owl out at 3.00 along with all of the layers. All of my paper is from Michaels Recollections. The sentiment is from CardzTV's "For the birds" stamp set.  The party hat is from Doodlecharm cartridge.  I used some diamond stickles to add a bit of bling.  I also used my Versamark pen to brighten the outer edge of my owl.  Lots of foam tape going on - the owl as well as the yellow squares.

I am entering this in the following challenges -

Disney Week - post #1 for me

I am participating in Disney Week - which is basically a group of us who are creating Disney related projects throughout the week and posting them on our blog.  It isn't a blog hop but I will have a list of all the participants at the bottom of this post so you can check out what other people are making too:-)

For my first Disney project, I went with a banner.  This banner is made with a friend in mind.  She is one of the 3rd grade teachers at my youngest daughter's school.  My daughter had her for her teacher last year but she has also been my oldest daughter's girl scout leader.  She was the teacher at our elementary school who took charge of the school play this year and put a lot of extra time and energy into the production.  I am grateful she did this and is continuing the tradition of our school.  My friend is also a disney fanatic and has decorated her 3rd grade classroom with quite a bit of Disney paraphanalia.  Now that you have that background info you will understand why this is the perfect thank you gift for all of her hard work in this year's school play (which was performed last Thurs and Fri)

I didn't put a lot of embellishment or dimension on this project because I want it to be sturdy enough for all of the "little" hands that may want to touch it:-)

Happy Friday everyone!!  Today is my DT day at SVT Attic and I want to share with you a spring home decor project using the SVG Attic Spring Captions set.  I picked up a picture frame at a second hand store for less than $1.  I used some white acrylic paint to "pretty" it up.  I decided not to use the glass that came with the frame for this project.  The butterfly and the grass are from the Easter Elements set.  The cute little ladybugs are stickers from Recollections.  I love the titles in the Spring Captions set.  The flowers and "Welcome Spring" are from that set.  I think a lot of the titles in this set would make great scrapbook page titles:-)  Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a great weekend!!

Shabby Chic Stamp Co. Design Team Thursday

Just wanted to share a few cards I have made recently using the Shabby Chic Stamp Company stamp sets.

I used the "Easter Blessings" stamp set to create this card.  The beautiful paper is from DCWV's Spring Fling stack from Joanns.  The flower is a Lori Wick file I got from the Silhouette store.  The pretty ribbon is Michaels.

This cute card is totally scraplifted from Marlene at Scrappin Cookie.  I made this one for my youngest daughter's birthday.  I used a few of the sentiments from the "Greetings" set.  This is a great stamp set for those of you just starting out because it has a sentiment to cover almost every occasion in it.  Both stamp sets can be purchased at Shabby Chic Stamps.  Thanks for popping by and have a blessed day:-)

You can never have enough purses!!

I was so excited when Jessica shared the latest SVG Attic set with us last week because it is all about purses!! My mom has a big purse fettish and I am the lucky receiver of her "castoffs" so I am more than well equipped when it comes to purses.  Her favorites tend to be Vera Bradley:-)  and all 3 of my girls have themselves some Vera too!  The 3d purse set happens to be this week's gift with purchase at SVG Attic so if you love purses too you are going to want to snatch this baby up while it is a freebie!!  Here is a purse I made to hold some goodies for a dear friend's birthday.  I used a Shabby Chic stamp to create the tag on the goodie bag.  The paper is from Michaels as is the yellow flower.

Tulip Birthday Card and Redraw for winner of CardzTV spring/easter blog hop

I needed to do a "redraw" for the winner of my blog candy from the CardzTV Easter/spring blog hop.  The original winner was posted and I even emailed her twice but both emails bounced and I have not heard back from her.  Seeing as it has been a week now I figured it was time to redraw.  So the newest winner of my blog candy is -

Carol from "Carol's Cards"

great set, flowers and chocolate, great combo!

Please leave me your email and/or address  by commenting on this post and I will get your goodies to you asap!!
Now onto the card - I am sharing a Tulip Shaped card I made for a friend's birthday.  I used the tulip from the Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge.  Using my gypsy, I welded the shadows together for this card.  The welded shape cut off a bit of the top of the card so I cut out another shadow layer in white to put on top of the card to build my flower on.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms and the cute little ladybug sticker and pears are from Michaels.  I made my own crinkle ribbon to match using some smooch spritz.  I popped the pink and yellow layer up with dimensionals from Stampin Up.
